Who It's For

Forge is designed for the full range of people involved in planning and running events — from the event coordinator building the registration page to the administrator who maintains the Salesforce org.

Event Coordinators and Planners

You spend most of your time inside event workspaces — building ticket tiers, configuring forms, reviewing attendee lists, and sending communications. You don't need deep Salesforce knowledge; Forge translates everything into plain language and handles the field mapping for you.

Marketing and Communications Teams

You use Forge to manage audience segments and schedule email sends. The Audiences section lets you build dynamic lists of contacts based on registration status, ticket type, session enrollment, and custom form answers — then push targeted messages directly through your connected email provider.

Finance and Operations Teams

You care about the Finance tab inside each event workspace: gross revenue, transaction counts, fee breakdowns, and refund summaries. All figures reconcile directly to Salesforce Transaction records, so your accounting team can run independent reports from the source of truth.

Salesforce Administrators

You are responsible for the Blackthorn managed packages, permission sets, and gateway configuration. Forge's Admin section gives you org-level controls: payment gateways, fee schedules, email templates, and beta-feature opt-in. You also have deep-link access to every underlying Salesforce record directly from the Forge UI.

Event Check-In Staff

Venue staff use the standalone Volunteer Check-In app (accessible at /checkin) on a tablet or mobile device. It does not require a Forge login — attendees are checked in by scanning a QR code or searching by name.

Speakers and Sponsors

Speakers and sponsors have dedicated portal experiences (beta) where they can submit bios, upload logos, review session details, and confirm participation — without needing a Salesforce or Forge login.
