Housing Providers

Housing Providers integrate Forge with hotel-block management platforms, letting attendees browse and reserve rooms within your event's contracted hotel inventory directly from the registration experience. Forge currently supports Passkey (Global Housing) and MeetingMax.

Beta feature

Housing Providers is a beta feature. Enable it for your org via the /beta page. Contact your Blackthorn account team to provision the integration credentials.

Configuring a housing provider

  1. Go to Admin → Housing Providers and click Add Provider.
  2. Select the provider (Passkey or MeetingMax).
  3. Enter the API credentials supplied by the provider (API key, account ID, and endpoint URL as required).
  4. Click Test Connection to verify Forge can reach the provider's API.
  5. Click Save. The provider is now available to assign to individual events.

Assigning a housing block to an event

Once a housing provider is configured, open the event and navigate to the Hotels tab (beta tab). Select the provider and enter the event-specific block code or conference ID supplied by your housing provider. Attendees will see a "Book Housing" link during and after registration.

Attendee flow

When housing is enabled, the checkout confirmation page and confirmation email include a link to the housing portal. Clicking the link pre-populates the attendee's name and email and redirects them to the provider's booking interface. Room selections and booking confirmations are managed by the provider; Forge receives a webhook callback on successful booking to record the reservation reference.

PII handling

The attendee's name and email are passed to the housing provider to pre-populate the booking form. Ensure your organization's data processing agreements cover transmission of attendee personal data to your chosen housing provider.
